There are two types of egg donors: Donors that are recruited and psychologically screened by an egg donor agency separate from our clinic; or A known donor is someone you know who is willing to donate egg(s) for you (i.e. a family member or friend). All donors must:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 35, and preferably have a history of having achieved pregnancy'
  • Have a physical exam
  • Pass screening for Communicable Diseases as required by the FDA
  • Have infectious disease lab testing done
  • Must have a face to face psychological evaluation
  • Have normal ovulation

2.  Is There A Fee For An Egg Donor?

Payment to donors recruited by an outside agency is coordinated with the recipient and the recruiting agency. Reimbursement for a known donor is left up to the recipient. *If you have infertility benefits under your plan, you may want to verify with your insurance if donors are covered.
